The project relates to the study of ammonia/hydrogen blends for their potential use in civil aviation applications. The study will include:
- Investigation of thermoacoustics and various injection techniques to enable high flame stability combined with low emissions
- Determination of optimal cracking split of NH3/H2/N2 for use in turbofan engine
- Development/demonstration of full scale engine injector and combustor sector suited to that fuel blend.
