eWATERservices is a private water operator providing 24/7 access to clean water in Sub-Saharan Africa. Using smart technology and local operational excellence, we install and maintain water systems serving the poorest communities sustainably. To date, we have provided 699,000,000 litres of safe drinking water to 265,000 people in The Gambia, Ghana and Tanzania via our pre-paid communal water taps.

Project "HHM" will create, test and manufacture a net zero carbon pre-paid NFC and mobile operated household water meter for rural and peri-urban areas in developing countries. We will complete the design, development and production of the prototype eWATER pre-paid household water meter for export and expansion into developing countries.

The project will aim to reduce the carbon footprint of the product by centralising the production of the meter in the UK using the-MTC as net zero consultants to drive the manufacturing process to net zero. Our vision is to support the global market for pre-paid meters, especially to those underserved in rural areas in developing countries. Our objective is to move our innovation from prototype to field trials, while creating a net zero manufacturing process that will support growth towards exporting millions of meters. We will focus on ensuring the design and the component selection is robust for the harshness of Africa and the manufacturing process will be net zero and serve the UK economy.

Our unique innovation combining pre-payment using NFC payment devices and mobile comms through bluetooth ensures that water systems in developing countries are sustainable; enabling a massive reduction in wasted water resources. This ensures the environment is protected and the valuable water resource is conserved. Ultimately our service has alresady been shown to reduce global Carbon emmisions.
