Description
Our project will develop a new technology in the field of energy and environment. It is aligned with achieving net zero by reducing the environmental impact of heating systems. Our technology can achieve a 99% fuel to heat ratio, at an affordable price.
We will focus on the decarbonization of heat for rural, off gas grid fuel poor and consumer groups with reduced access to opportunities for decarbonization. Our boiler module has a low up-front cost, is compatible with all major boiler brands and is quick and easy to install.
By using complementary components which can be designed to achieve higher thermal efficiencies we are confident we can achieve a direct reduction in energy usage, with the overall effect of lowering energy demand across the network. Key point -- we only need a relatively low level of adoption to make a significant impact on national energy usage.
Our project is highly relevant to current market conditions: energy bills are rising and there is a clear and immediate need for alternative technologies that will reduce costs and minimize the effect on the environment. The funding allows us to develop a demonstrator that can be validated in an operational environment, enabling us to benchmark the technology and inform our next steps in developing and commercializing it.
