Description
The escalating global environmental crisis has put sustainability as an ever-increasing priority for businesses and consumers. Single-use products and non-recyclable packaging are being phased out as the UK drives towards Net Zero 2050 commitments.
Packaging Answers has significant and well developed specialist skills in the removal of single-use and non-recyclable packaging products from FMCG packaging. By combining our specialist technologies and experience with our existing materials knowledge we manufacture sustainable wood fibre based products with similar properties to the single-use and non-recyclable secondary packaging that we replace.
This industrial research project will radically improve our specialist technologies and increase the quality of understanding of our alternative packaging materials science to best practice level. Our project aim is to fully develop and commercially realise a materially composite fibre-based fitment. The project must realise a fitment that is appropriate to meet the extensive demands of the alcohol and cosmetics luxury goods market for presentation packaging.
The project will allow Packaging Answers to develop our fully recyclable, fibre-based, secondary packaging into a high-volume product to be offered worldwide. Packaging Answers will support the UK and global economy as well as supporting Net Zero 2050 ambitions.
