Description
This project focuses on developing new functionalities on our already existing platform, Climate Essentials, that will allow local authorities in the UK to automatically understand, visualise, and manage the carbon emissions of their tendering process. This information, which is used to assess the net-zero commitments of their suppliers as a selection criterium for tendering, is key to helping local authorities reduce the carbon emissions of their supply chain.
This new functionality will involve analysing existing data, both from organisations and local authorities, in order to generate new insights, benchmarks, and estimation algorithms that will feed into an analytics dashboard for local authorities to use to manage their contracts. The carbon analytics generated through the platform will be aligned with recognised frameworks. This will ensure transparent processes in the way the local government procure products and services from the bidding supplier from an environmental management perspective that they have in place and which will be in effect and utilised during the performance of the contract.
