The Trace4Zero Project aims to develop a data-driven energy management system for supporting facilities to reduce their energy consumption and related carbon emission under Scope 2\. Facility energy managers will be able to analyse specific energy consumption and detect anomalies using condition-based monitoring in this context. Furthermore, the proposed monitoring platform supports facilities to track the source and carbon intensity of electricity with the transparency they need to understand and optimize their energy use. The innovative approach of the project is that the proposed monitoring platform combines energy efficiency, cost reduction and net zero targets with a multi-objective and data driven decision support system. In this context, increasing the level of time detail and providing hourly emission monitoring will create more incentives for renewable energy integration into the grid.
