ENLIL is a smart vertical axis wind turbine project that transforms highways into renewable energy sources by using winds created by the vehicles and natural winds as well as, provides safety and comfort to cities and vehicles thanks to built-in sensors. ENLIL turbines are placed between highway lighting poles. The energy we produce can be stored in batteries or sent directly to the grid over existing power lines. We can power street lights and traffic signs directly from the road. Since the energy is then consumed locally, transmission losses are minimized. This contributes to equity of local power access, with the goal of increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions.ENLIL is designed in Helical Darrieus type, which is the most efficient vertical axis wind turbine. It is both difficult and expensive to manufacture the Helical Darrieus turbine using traditional methods. We applied the mass production method with a brand new technology.Accessible, inexpensive and easy to maintain thanks to its Plug and Play modular structure. ENLIL will supply renewable energy to highway light poles and electronic signs,It will meet highway energy needs enabling local grids to be formed to reduce energy losses occurring from long transmission lines. Also, it will enable smart lighting systems to be installed on highways where unnecessary lighting will be turned off if the highway is not in use to minimize energy waste, furthermore reducing the human impact to wildlife by preventing animals beings affected by lights.ENLIL's innovative approach to renewable energy and highways aims to create unprecedented sustainable energy sources, minimize carbon footprint and contribute to the national economy. Greenhouse gases trap heat and make the planet warmer.ENLIL has 98% lower climate impact producing of energy compared to fossil fuel consuming power plants reducing the emission of greenhouse gasses and other toxic gasses. ENLIL aims to reduce the carbon footprint of highways and improve air quality.we also remove epoxy from the production line with blades made of Bio and recycled plastic. We removed the epoxy used in blade production, which accounts for most of the carbon emissions from the turbines, from the production line. As our turbine blades are produced from recycled materials, being black has two advantages: firstly, it absorbs the light reflected from the vehicles, and secondly, it protects natural life, according to scientists from the Norwegian Institute for Nature Research, painting turbine blades black reduces the number of birds killed by about 70%.
