{"title": ["", "Sensor and live-data app development to allow data digitisation for an innovative, sustainable micro-wind turbine that harnesses wind energy to reduce electricity bills by £1.4K and emissions by 9,000 kg of CO2 per year"], "description": ["", "\nEnturi is a UK renewable energy SME with a core project team of Alex Shakeshaft (CEO/co-founder, BEng/MSc, ex-RAF, project management) and Stuart Roberts (CTO/co-founder, MEng, ex-RAF, graduate battery engineer).\n\nTo stay on the net-zero path, wind energy needs to be scaled up 11-fold by 2050\\. Annual wind capacity additions of 390GW need to be made by 2030\\. To reach net-zero emissions by 2050, the annual clean energy investment globally will need to more than triple by 2030 to around £3.32T (International-Energy-Agency, 2021). Future growth in the wind turbine sector will be accelerated by operational efficiency, enabled by accessible and transparent data digitisation (DNV, 2019)\n\nEnturi is developing a data sensor and live-data app to permit the digitisation of novel micro-wind turbines that can feed a portable/decentralised renewable energy station to rapidly expand digitised renewable energy data. The development of the sensor and live-data app will permit transparent and accessible data visualisation and data sharing. This will allow end users to monitor energy generation, energy storage, and cost savings, as well as allow Enturi to offer end-to-end solutions by monitoring/tracking turbine faults to rapidly address operational errors (maintenance).\n\nThe modular/portable/inexpensive turbine will reduce noise pollution, minimise the impact on biodiversity, consume less space/time to install, and be manufactured from sustainable materials. It will also be compatible with the existing infrastructure. The affordable/low-impact turbine has the potential to save up to £1.4K/year on electricity bills and 9K kg of CO2 emissions.\n\nThe solution will address the industry needs and decarbonisation objectives and will align with the UK Innovation Strategy, COP26 climate pact targets, Paris Agreement, Sixth Carbon Budget, Maritime 2050 Strategy, the UK's Clean Green Initiative, and 2050 net-zero targets. The turbine will be unobtrusive (no landscape scarring), have low blade exposure (reducing noise/biodiversity impact), and drive a circular economy because it will be made from sustainable materials. The simple/transparent/accessible data enabled via the sensor and app will allow rapid responses/reactions to system failures to ensure operational efficiency and effective maintenance, as well as inform and engage end users with visualised cost savings. The design will mitigate current design flaws in large-scale wind-power generating systems.\n\n"], "extra_text": ["", "\n\n\n\n"], "status": ["", "Active"]}
