Rapid industrialisation and urbanisation, increasing public health concerns, aging facilities and shortage of fresh water are some of the key factors driving the worldwide need for improved wastewater and sewerage treatment. The proposed project is for the development of a novel sewage aeration technology designed by Aquarius Marine Group Ltd. There are three main problems with sewage treatment plants at present, namely the huge energy cost which will be reduced, the air bubbles rise too quickly thus wasting a high proportion of the available 20% oxygen from the air and if blockages occur the whole tank has to be drained. This smart energy loss-reducing system allows for fast and efficient oxygenation of sewage waste and reduces the need for its prior treatment.
