Description
Samad Power Ltd has designed a secondary power source utilising the regular gas supply within a typical household. The company has developed for domestic users a compact Combined Heat and Power (CHP) generation system, called Turbo Green Boiler (TGB). TGB is capable of producing up to 45KW of heat for water and space heating and 2KW of electricity sufficient for 4-6 bedroom houses. Combined heat and power systems already exist, but the development team of Samad Power is the first in UK to successfully design, build and test a compact micro turbine CHP boiler.Following the promising phase of proof of market and successful proof of the concept, partly supported by EEDA, Samad Power is planning to start further development of a mass producible prototype. The intention is to lower the consumer household energy bills significantly by up to 25% whilst reducing CO2 emissions (up to 2 tonnes per household annually). The company is also intending to set up the production facility in UK that will create more than 100 skilled jobs.
