Description

More Like This

This project will develop and optimise thermo-photovoltaic (TPV) technology to improve the efficiency of domestic boilers by generating heat and electricity simultaneously. The outputs from the study will be applied to produce commercially-available, cost effective, reliable, micro-combined heat and power (mCHP) products. The key technical innovation is use of a breakthrough in the performance of TPV cells, making them cheaper and more efficient. These improvements will be developed for specific application in domestic mCHP devices.
