The University of Bath offers EPSRC DTP funded opportunities for postgraduate research across the breadth of engineering and physical sciences. We have seven strategic research themes: low carbon futures, sustainability, advanced materials & devices, healthy living, data & analysis, digital media & visual technologies and manufacturing & robotics. These key strategic themes support the EPSRC themes of national productivity, connectivity, resilience and wellbeing.
Our postgraduate research programmes attract the very best students from across the world. They are supported in a well-resourced environment with a comprehensive program of training in key research skills and project management. They will graduate as wellequipped and confident researchers who can address the major issues facing our national and global communities.
Our allocation of funding for studentships starting in 2018 and 2019 is 45% to Departments in the Faculty of Engineering and Design and 55% to Departments in the Faculty of Science (including Mathematical Sciences). Research in the strategic theme areas is spread across individual Departments and studentships will be assigned to specific Department and topics early in the academic year. Applications for and enquiries about EPSRC DTP studentships are welcome at any time. Funded opportunities will be advertised on the University of Bath Doctoral College website and on findaphd.
