Description
Many areas of the world are severely lacking in electricity provision, reducing access to communication, household facilities, education and safe and sanitary conditions. Areas especially lacking include regions of sub-Saharan Africa, with a 46% of the population lacking access to power even with the climate providing an ideal potential for solar energy use. This project aims to provide sustainable, affordable and reliable electricity to areas of the world most at need. Our technology harnesses all the benefits of solar panels into a more compact, cost effective and reliable design, revolutionising the way that energy can be supplied. In providing an environmentally sustainable option that is efficient and reliable, we hope to reduce the world’s reliance on fossil fuels while also providing all the benefits of modern life. Fundamentally our project aims to make a real difference in underprivileged communities. We will do this not just through the creation of our product but also through the way we manufacture it. We aim to assemble, install and maintain all of our technologies locally, employing local people and sourcing local materials in order to boost economies and empower communities.
