Description
Transformational Energy (TE) is developing a novel method of converting flue stack emissions into synthetic petroleum gases (LPG) by using the application of engineering biology. The technology will allow industrial emitters to decarbonise and convert the CO2 in emissions stack into fuel, which will enable realisation of the goal of implementing industrial circularity for fuel.
The cost competitiveness of this breakthrough technology will be amongst the best in Europe and will be an enabler for remote industrial emitters which are not located in close proximity to a CCS cluster, such as the distilleries in Scotland and the steel plant in Wales.
The technological breakthrough will be cost competitive and result in a sustainable and carbon neutral source of energy generation, with a potential to disrupt the current energy markets. With the implementation of synthetic fuels and minimal usage of Hydrogen, the technology could deliver a zero emissions industrial ecosystem.
