The need for resilient, agile and reliable energy infrastructure is critical for the growth of the economy and decarbonisation. Developed and developing countries both have their own challenges to address; while the cost of grid reinforcement is significant for developed countries, reliable grid availability is what developing countries require to flourish. In both scenarios, the successful deployment of distributed power generation systems will play a significant role. However, distributed power generation deployment has its own barriers; cost and long return on investment time. The outcome of this project will be a micro combined heat and power system called the Turbo Green Burner, capable of generating power and heat simultaneously, for industries with a high demand for heat. This new system will address the issue of cost by developing a reliable and compact micro combined heat and power solution using gas turbine technologies previously developed and productionised by Samad Power and other industries. Low cost, compactness and capability to run on different types of fuel make Turbo Green Burner a highly adaptive solution for industrial systems that require heat and power to operate and improve their total energy efficiency by at least 30% in developing countries.
