**uEco - Enabling Energy Efficiency with AI**

Identifying and delivering targeted retrofitting to all UK's 29 million housing stock is critical and will help insulate our homes (fifth of CO2 emissions), reduce emissions and energy consumption, and lessen the impact of fuel poverty for 8m+ households as the cost of living crisis sweeps across the UK.

In this project, **uEco** will, for the first time, explore how combining unique data sources will enable new innovation to; develop improved identification and test new prototypes that pinpoint households that would most benefit from Energy Efficiency Programmes. This is built upon the extensive expertise of all our project partners.

The project will combine:

* UrbanTide's unique experience of new data innovation working with Smart Meter System Data, Building Imagery and Satellite data and other real-time IoT data.
* UrbanTide's unique experience creating insight to address fuel poverty, identify at risk buildings, explore business cases for new heating solutions and monitoring continuous change detection of rateable properties.
* Utilising Planet Centred Service Design workshops and user facilitation to prototype and design scalable and cost-effective tools.

**Team**

uEco brings together a wealth of experienced partners who are ideally placed to deliver a user and planet centred approach to ensure we develop truly scalable solutions.

**UrbanTide** are smart cities experts with years of experience delivering data solutions to improve outcomes. We provide uSmart our data innovation platform to unlock the value in the integration of data and support our vision of creating a sustainable world with AI.

**Friendhood** is a strategic design studio focused on projects that create positive social and environmental impact. With extensive experience across Planet Centred Service Design workshops and user facilitation, developing journey mapping through to UX/UI and overall the Sustainability Vision and story creation.

**The Greater South East Net Zero Hub (GSENZH)** has the remit to support and push the adoption of Energy Efficiency Programmes that support Net Zero targets and fuel poverty reduction. They are a collaboration of eleven Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) and over 140 local authorities. By working with these partners to support local energy projects, from the development stages to investment readiness, they help increase the number, scale and quality of local energy projects being delivered.
