Electrochemical devices, such as batteries and electocatalytic cells, lie at the heart of everyday society from mobile phones to electric vehicles. However, to meet the world's growing demand for clean energy, there is a continuous need to improve the materials -- electrodes and electrolytes -- that make up electrochemical devices. This project aims to develop a new scientific instrument which will allow high-throughput, non-destructive testing of large numbers of different battery and electrocatalytic materials and devices. This will accelerate materials research and discovery leading to enhanced clean energy technologies for society.
