Using bed and ice characteristics, combined with the mapped englacial stratigraphy, processes which have formed and deformed the stratigraphy can be investigated. By using ice-depth models and/or ice cores taken at the South Pole and EPICA, which intersect radar data (Cavitte et al, 2016; Winter et al, 2019a), this project can reconstruct ice sheet history within the Weddell Sea Sector.
