Latent Power Turbines provide a possible route to capture energy from industrial waste heat and natural low grade heat sources. The turbines resemble small-scale wind turbines operating in either open or closed ducts - the waste heat energy may be in low pressure exhaust steam from power generation, or may be ambient heat energy flowing through the duct walls. An Innovation Voucher will allow us to tap into rotor design expertise, and to increase the electric power being generated by experimental Latent Power Turbines.
