SeaSmart is an automated data acquisition payload for marine survey on Unmanned Marine Vehicles. It can automatically interface to survey sensors, configure them and acquire data to exact specifications. By automating survey data acquisition, SeaSmart facilitates Offshore & Marine Energy companies to obtain more, and better organised site survey data. Data can be delivered faster, in more consistent formats, ready for in-stride transmission for immediate reporting. For the client, this means better data and reduced project risks. The project will develop a prototype SeaSmart payload capable of automated in-stride data delivery for marine survey, and evaluate its performance during a sea-trial at a marine renewable energy site.
