Sunswap is a UK based clean-tech company on a mission to decarbonise the global cold chain with innovative, cost-competitive and zero-emission Transport Refrigeration Units (TRUs). Our core product is a turnkey solar and battery powered TRU for trailers. The solar panels collect renewable energy which is fed straight into the refrigeration system, where it is converted directly into cold or stored for later use with a novel, patent pending electrical architecture, eliminating the emissions, maintenance and noise of incumbent diesel systems.

Having developed significant technical and commercial intelligence, we have developed a novel system concept that could significantly reduce the capex and total cost of ownership (TCO) of our zero emission TRU and thus increase adoption. Accordingly, our vision for the project is to explore and model this system with the ultimate objective of reducing the cost of providing zero emission transport refrigeration.
